Winter's coming
Well we've had a great summer & winter is coming -nooooo!
It's not all that bad though as we get to wrap up warm in all those fabulous winter clothes, cosy nights in by the fire & home comfort food for those cold nights!
You also get to raid your wardrobe for clothes long lost to the summer season & I always remember recalling past good times by finding a receipt from a previous winter meal or even a cheeky bonus fiver deep in a coat pocket.
We should celebrate we had a summer & embrace a new season with lots more adventures to come and in that spirit we have created our favourite things about winter.
TOP TIP - Don't forget to recycle last winters clothes to keep your costs down
2. Accessories - Summer accessories are fab but you can't beat dressing to take on Jack Frost with winter style accessories. Ear Muffs, Woolly Bobble Hats, Gloves, Scarves, Thick Tights, Boots & wellies - did we miss anything.
3. Good TV - Whilst summer is all about dressing for festivals & holidays surely winter is dressing for cosy nights in watching good TV. Wrap up with a onsie & a blanket (Matching of course) a warm cocoa & the heating set to 10
4. Amazing food - Home comfort food, a time where we can wear oversized clothes & tuck in to a little extra stew
5. Christmas - Presents - new clothes of course! A time of giving, but receiving is also fun right & you've had your eyes on those boots all summer.
6. Bonfire night - Toffees, sparklers & fireworks. Going to the local bonfire in your new winter coat, matching scarf, thick tights & awesome new boots.
7. SNOW! - Treading your new boot print into the fresh snow, snowball fights & catching the flakes on your tongue. Also remember staying home on snow days.
8. Layering - What's better than wearing a new top - wearing 2 new tops. We love layering!
TOP TIP - Start with thin crop tops, followed by a thicker jumper or cardigan, a summer coat & top out with a thick winter coat.
